Zbigniew Dokurno

Zbigniew Dokurno - PhD in economics – macroeconomics (dissertation: Theory of endogenous economic growth – attempt at system-atization and critical analysis, defended in 2009, honored in 2010 in the National Bank of Poland President’s Com-petition for the best work in economics and in the Competition of the University of Economics Foundation in Poz-nań for the best doctoral thesis in the field of economics. Assistant professor at the Institute of Economics and the director of the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development at the University of Economics in Wrocław. He also worked as the Member of Council and Head of Finance Commission at the National Centre for Research and Development (2014–2018) and still works as the expert-member of Interministerial Team for Innovation at the Board for Innovation of the Government of the Republic of Poland. Scholar of Ministry of Science and Higher Edu-cation in the TOP 500 Innovators program (internship at Cambridge-Oxford University, 07–09/2015). Research internship in Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung in Mannheim and der Westfälischen Wilhelms-Universität Münster (11/2014–02/2015). Graduate of post-doctoral studies Research Project Manager, A. Mic-kiewicz University in Poznań (2011). In 2010–2016 the manager and principal investigator of eight nation-al/international grants (MNiSW-NCN-EFS-NCBiR). Author/coauthor of several dozen scientific publications in Polish and English, including 8 monographs and 2 textbooks, covering macroeconomics, human capital theory, ecological economics, sustainable development, entrepreneurship, environmental and natural resources econom-ics and methodology of sciences, including habilitation monograph Modelling of human capital in a knowledge-based economy (PWN 2017). The member of European Economic Association, the Royal Economic Society, the International and European Society for Ecological Economics, and the TOP 500 Innovators Association.
