Jarosław Stryczek graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Department of Wroclaw University of Science and Technology in 1973. In years 1973-1975, he was working as a designer in Delta Hydral Company in Wroclaw, Poland. Since 1975, he has been working at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. In 1991, he received his habilitation degree, and in 2008 became a professor of technical sciences. He works in the fields of science and engineering, within the discipline of machine design and operation, specializing in the problems of hydraulic drive and control, and in the fundamentals of machine design.
He has written three books and over one hundred scientific and engineering papers published both in Polish and foreign professional journals. He was awarded with Docendo discimus for his didactic achievements at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. He has collaborated with numerous leading industrial companies, including PZL Hydral, Wroclaw; WZMB Waryński, Warsaw; FMR Pilmet, Wroclaw; WPH Wroclaw; Fama Gniew; KGHM Lubin and several Polish universities of science and technology (in Gdansk, Poznan, Warsaw, Cracow, Lodz), WAT, and universities in Kiev, Samara, Ust-Kamieniogorsk, Barcelona-Terassa and Lappeenranta, Dresden and Kragujevac.
