Bogusław Fiedor - Titular professor of economics (since 1991). Ordinary professor at the Wrocław University of Economics (since 1991). Head of Economics Department (1991–2016), founder and head of Chair of Ecological Economics (1996–2005), Rector in 2005–2012, vice-Rector for International Co-operation in 2012–2016. Elected member of the Board of the Polish Rectors’ Conference in 2012–2016. Elected member of many academic, vocational and adviso-ry bodies, including the Committee of Economic Sciences of Polish Academy of Sciences (since 1997, vice-Chairman since 2010), Polish Economic Society (Chairman of Research Council 2010–2015, Vice-President for In-ternational Co-operation since 2015), Committee for Energy Issues of Polish Academy of Sciences (since 2015), Polish Association of Environment and Natural Resources Economists (vice-Chairman in many terms, including 2014–2018), Council on Socio-economic Strategy to the Government of Poland (member 1995–2005, vice-Chairman 1997–2005), Man and Biosphere Commission of the Polish UNESCO Committee (Chairman 2000–2006), Environmental Advisory Council to the President of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (1991–1995), Standing Committee for Research and Universities of the Council of Europe (representing Polish academic community). Member of editorial boards of leading Polish economic journals. Author of above 400 publications, thereof ca. 30 books as author and co-author. Main research areas: ecological and sustainability economics, methodology and history of economics, macroeconomic policy. Many times awarded the prize of Minister of Sci-ence and Higher Education for research and educational achievements, including the Prize for the overall research and vocational achievements (2016). Awarded Doctor Honoris Causa honorary title by the University of Econom-ics in Katowice (2015).
